I love creating games. I started creating arbitrary rules and winning conditions to beat my brother in every kind of game since I was born. But it was 6 years ago, in 2014, that I started doing games as a career. I was lucky enough to begin my game development career by doing games from scratch: from a simple idea to a fully developed video game ready to be shipped.
After my bachelor degree in Visual Arts at the Pontifical Xaverian University in Bogotá, I co-founded Mad Bricks, a mobile game development studio. I have been involved in the entire development process of several titles as a Game Designer, Level Designer, UI/UX, and Producer. As part of the games I’ve help develop, Ekko: Occlude the Void was featured as Game of the Day in the App Store and Draw Story 3D, co-produced with the casual game developer and publisher GAMEJAM has been downloaded by more than 2 millions users.
Doing games in a small team has given me a deep sense of ownership and an understanding of what it takes to create games from its various departments. As part of my thrive for learning new things, I came to the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver, Canada to pursue the Master of Digital Media, a program accredited and awarded by UBC, SFU, ECU & BCIT. During my time in the program, I worked on several projects along with incredibly talented teammates and amazing clients such as Unity Technologies, Digital Monarch Media, and Moodyville Games.
